Who we are

What we collect

When you use our contact form, we receive:

• your name, business name and email address
• anything else you choose to give us: phone number, business type, town or postcode area, website or Google profile link, and your message
• what you asked for (for example joining the waitlist or a free check)
• whether you ticked the box to receive our free monthly email

When you sign up for our monthly email, we receive your email address and business name.

Why we use it

We use your details to reply to your request: to add you to the waitlist or beta group, send your free check, or answer your question. We do this because you asked us to, and it is in our legitimate interests to respond.

If you signed up for our monthly email, or ticked the box for it on the contact form, we send you the monthly email and occasional news about FoundVantage, and we may get in touch to see if we can help your business. We do this because you agreed to it. You can unsubscribe from any email, or by emailing us.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of services to run this website and the form:

• Resend sends the form to our inbox, sends you a short acknowledgement, and keeps our mailing lists: the monthly email, the waitlist and free check requests.
• Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a bot, is using the form. It processes technical details such as your IP address and browser.
• Cloudflare hosts this website and keeps short-lived server logs.

We don't sell your details, and we don't share them with anyone else.

The free business check

When you use the free check, we keep:

• your email address
• what you typed: your business name, what you do and where you do it, and anything else you chose to give us (phone number, website and your biggest challenge)
• whether you ticked the box for our newsletter, and the wording you agreed to
• your results, so you can come back to them

If you type a business name but don't go on to start a check, we keep the name for up to 90 days so we can see where people stop, then delete it.

To run the check, we use:

• Cloudflare Turnstile, to check that a person, not a bot, is starting it
• Google Maps, to find your Google Business Profile from your business name and area. What it tells us is shown to you and not kept.
• OpenAI (ChatGPT), Perplexity and Google (Gemini), which we ask about businesses like yours. They get your business name, what you do and your area (a full postcode is cut to its first half). They never get your email address or phone number.

We only email you about your check if you ask us to.

Cookies and tracking

This website doesn't use tracking cookies, advertising trackers or analytics that follow you around the web. That's why there's no cookie banner.

How long we keep it

We keep your message and details for up to 12 months after we last heard from you, then delete them. If you become a customer, we'll tell you how we look after your details as part of your agreement with us. If you're on our monthly email, we keep your email address and business name until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• show you the details we hold about you
• correct anything that's wrong
• delete your details
• stop using your details, or limit how we use them

Email hello@foundvantage.com and we'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your details, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
