Terms of Service

The terms for using this website and our free business check, joining the waitlist or beta group, and getting our emails. Last updated 12 October 2026.

1. Who we are

FoundVantage Ltd. Registered in England and Wales, company no. 17499006. Registered office: 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean FoundVantage Ltd. You can email us at hello@foundvantage.com.

2. These terms

By using this website or any of the services in these terms, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use them.

Our services are for businesses, including sole traders. If you use them for a business, you confirm you're allowed to act for it. If you're using them as a consumer, you have legal rights these terms don't take away.

Our privacy notice explains what we do with your details. It isn't part of these terms, but please read it.

3. Using this website

You can use this website to find out about us and use the services on it. Please don't:

  • break the law, or help anyone else to, through the website
  • use automated tools to access it, copy from it or run checks in bulk, or get around anything we use to tell people from bots
  • try to get into parts of the website, our systems or other people's results that you shouldn't, or interfere with how it works
  • send us anything harmful, such as viruses

We can change, pause or remove any part of the website at any time, and we don't promise it will always be available or free of errors.

4. The free business check

The free check looks at how easy your business is to find. We look for your Google Business Profile, check whether search engines and AI assistants can read your website, and ask AI assistants about businesses like yours. It's free and you don't need an account.

When you use it:

  • check a business you own or are allowed to act for, and give us accurate details about it
  • the results are worked out automatically from what Google, your website and the AI assistants showed us at the time. They change often, so later checks can differ
  • AI assistants can be wrong. We report what each one said when we asked; we don't make what they say true, and we don't control it
  • the results are information, not professional advice, and we don't promise any particular ranking, recommendation or number of enquiries from acting on them
  • your results page has a private address. Anyone with that address can see the page, so only share it with people you trust

We may limit, pause or refuse checks, for example to keep the service fair, to stop misuse, or when we're at capacity.

Google Maps. The free check uses Google Maps features and shows some details from Google Maps. Your use of those features is subject to theGoogle Maps End User Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Google, Google Business Profile, Gemini, ChatGPT and Perplexity are trade marks of their owners. We name them to explain what we checked. They don't endorse or work with FoundVantage.

5. The waitlist, the beta group and our emails

Joining the waitlist means we'll tell you when paid plans open. It doesn't commit you, or us, to anything. If we invite you to the beta group, we'll explain how it works and any terms for it before you start.

We only send you our monthly email and news about paid plans if you've agreed to them, and you can unsubscribe from any email. We send emails about your free check only when you ask us to.

6. Paid plans

Our paid plans aren't available yet. The prices on our pricing page are launch prices and may change before then. When paid plans open, they'll come with their own terms, which we'll show you before you sign up. Nothing on this website is an offer to sell you a paid plan.

7. Our content and your feedback

We own, or have permission to use, everything on this website, including its words, design, graphics and software. You can look at it, and print or save pages for your own use, but please don't copy it for any other purpose without asking us. You can keep and share your own free check results.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we can use them to improve FoundVantage without owing you anything.

8. Other websites

Links to other websites are there to help you. We don't control those websites and we're not responsible for them.

9. If you break these terms

If you break these terms, or we reasonably think you have, we can stop you using the website or our services.

10. Our responsibility to you

We take care to make the website and the free check work properly, but we provide them free and as they are, and we can't promise they'll be complete, accurate or right for your business.

We're not responsible for business losses, such as lost profit, income, trade or opportunities, or for losses we couldn't reasonably have expected. For anything else arising from the website or our free services, our total responsibility to you is limited to £100.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add services or the law changes. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you about important changes if you're on one of our email lists. The version on this page when you use our services is the one that applies.

12. General

  • If a court decides part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • Only you and we have rights under these terms. Nobody else can enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
  • We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another business, for example if FoundVantage is sold.

13. Problems and the law

If something goes wrong, please email us at hello@foundvantage.com first, and we'll try to put it right.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute. If you're a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
